Holiday pay changes already in effect

The government passed legislation in January regarding detailed changes to holiday pay for part-year workers, irregular hour workers and rolled-up holiday pay. They actually come into effect for individual employers from their next holiday year.  For example, if your holiday year starts on 1 January, the changes will come into effect for you from the start of 2025.  We have reported on the changes before and I will be talking about them in more detail at my Employment Law Update with Bond Williams on 17 April.  The government has also published detailed guidance on the changes, which can be found here – https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/simplifying-holiday-entitlement-and-holiday-pay-calculations/holiday-pay-and-entitlement-reforms-from-1-january-2024.  There are some great examples on how to do what can be quite complex calculations.
